Since 1996, the Hyderabad Regional Chapter of IIID has established itself as one of the most active and forward-thinking chapters in the country. With a strong and growing community of over 450 members, IIID-HRC continues to drive meaningful engagement within the design ecosystem.

The chapter’s strength lies in its ability to create spaces where professionals connect, learn, and evolve together. From workshops and seminars to factory visits, technical sessions, and heritage walks, every initiative is designed to expand perspectives and deepen understanding of the built environment. Its monthly fellowship meets reflect this spirit, bringing together designers, industry experts, and cultural voices in an atmosphere that blends learning with camaraderie.

A cornerstone of IIID-HRC’s calendar is the biennial IIID Showcase Insider X exhibition, now in its 6th edition, which has become a marquee platform showcasing cutting-edge ideas, materials, and design solutions. Alongside this, the chapter also hosts annual Awards and Recognitions, celebrating excellence and innovation across the interior design profession.

IIID-HRC’s contribution to the design community has been widely recognised. The chapter has been honoured with the IIID Best Chapter Award in multiple categories, including administration, reporting, and fellowship, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most professionally run and engaged chapters in the country.

IIID-HRC’s Design Excellence Awards recognise outstanding work across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, celebrating achievement in creativity, sustainability, and design quality. The awards see strong participation from across the industry and are anchored in a rigorous, structured evaluation process led by a highly respected jury. Together, they provide a credible platform to acknowledge exemplary projects and practitioners, while setting benchmarks that inspire the broader design community.

Jalsa marks the Founding Day of IIID-HRC, bringing members together annually in a spirit of celebration and camaraderie. The evening blends performances, food, and informal interactions, creating a space for the community to connect beyond practice and strengthen shared bonds.
